Part One: Initial Consultation
Kristin and Gavin came to us when their old kitchen felt out of date.
The cabinets were faded, the hardware old, the flooring ugly, and the island didn’t match their needs anymore.
They found us online, read our reviews, looked through our projects, and decided it’s worth getting an estimate for a kitchen remodel.
During our initial consultation, we gave them some pointers, ideas, and listened to the issues they were confronting with.
Some of the things they wanted gone in their old space were...
No backsplash
Damaged cabinets
Although they loved their cabinets, the pulls, knobs, and hinges were old and the cabinets couldn’t close right.
Old flooring
Old island
The bar island was stylish years ago, but now, it felt like a lot of wasted space they couldn’t use for anything.
Ugly sinks
In both the kitchen and laundry room, the sinks were old, stained, and even rusted. They needed an upgrade.
Part Two: The Design, Planning, Permitting
What started from a kitchen renovation expanded into replacing the flooring throughout the main level and updating the laundry room as well. We created the design, helped them choose the materials and finishes, planned everything together, pulled the permits, and we were ready to begin.

The old cabinets still fulfilled our clients’ storage needs, but they wanted to reface them and update the pulls, knobs, and get soft close hinges.
The new LVT flooring was great to make the maintenance a lot easier throughout the main level, and it was also an affordable option.

Part Three: The Time Schedule
With a design-remodel service, delays or budget overruns are out of the question, and so is a lot of the hassle.
We kept this kitchen & laundry renovation on time with a smooth, streamlined process that Kristin and Gavin loved!
5-8 Nov
We did a quick prepwalk, took some before pictures, and finished tearing down the old kitchen and floors.
11-15 Nov
The plumbing and electrical rough-in was done in one day. It took us 4 days to install the new LVP flooring.
18-22 Nov
This third week we swapped the cabinet hardware, installed the tops, and finished plumbing and electrical.
2-6 Dec
Thanksgiving was off, and we finished it all up next week by installing the backsplash, cleaning up, taking pictures, and doing the final walkthrough.
